You may remember my 2014 thread about my neighbor's kids everywhere all the time.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1623405_Crotchfruit_all_over_my_lawn.html
I am generally OK with this guy, we have helped each other do projects on occasion but today his 3 kids and 4 of their friends, all about 9-10yrs old, were outside my place playing hoops. While I was at the store the guy wheeled his portable BB hoop onto my next door neighbor's adjoining driveway.

7 screaming kids bouncing balls outside my place on my day off. I told the kids to move and they went to get dad. Dude starts throwing shit around his yard bitching. I walk over and he says "what's the fucking problem?" My response was "it's my day off too and I don't want the noise or my cars used as a backstop."  Guy storms over and muscled the hoop back to his driveway where the kids are over playing now.

If I wanted 7 kids I would have had 7 kids.

I reused my MS paint from my post and added the bb hoop for reference

Wait a couple of years and they'll be stealing your cars.  Enjoy the little darlings while you can.

They're good kids, just not my kids.

the only thing wrong is that you haven't realized that you live in the shitty part of town.

Yes, you are wrong. Do you own that street? Are you the arbiter of that part of the street? Or do you just want to exalt ownership of where you park your car, while the taxpayer gets to pay for it? Street side parking has its risk. Buy a bigger lot of land next time.

ETA: Wait a minute, is that car parked on the street?

Once kids today get your number dialed-in, they won't quit.

Moving sucks.

I posted a similar thread a year or two ago.

A lot of people said I was an intolerant ass.

enough problems with neighbors to make more then one thread on arfcom. You need to move, it's never going to get better.

Look again at the drawing. The hoop is on the edge of my driveway. My cars at the moment are parked in it. Parked directly behind BBall players with all the ball handling control of 8 year olds. My cars aren't all that nice but they are my cars. Street parking is currently full and the noise is the the 50% of the equation

Yes I live in a shitty (part of) town. I want to move but I am trying to pay down our debt 1st. The house is payed off but real estate values here are shit. Selling will be an option when I have some wiggle room.

Private school for my kid is expensive.

No, you're not wrong. Dude doesn't want HIS kids playing at HIS house, take them to the park. No way should he move his basketball hoop over to the neighbor's house just so he can be rid of his crotchfruit for an afternoon.

Unless there is some ordinance that bans kids playing or hoops on the edge of your property, I don't see how they are doing anything wrong. I would destroy any of the shit that ended up in my yard though, but I am also the guy that shot his neighbors cat for leaving paw prints on my cars.

So kids playing must be confined to either A) parks or B) your own yard. Kids aren't allowed to play in their neighborhoods anymore?

You're entitled to peaceful enjoyment in your home.  If he hadn't have moved it, I'd keep the driveway hosed down, for starters.

my kids don't go places to play they don't have permission to or have an invitation. Absolutely no way I'd let them wander over to a neighbours and disturb them.
