For a cabin its ok. But, hmmm not for your home!

Looks Good. Now you need a matching bed with antlers (horny, get it?) for the cabin. A couple of antler gun racks would be good too!! AFARR

No, I feel more comfortable when there is air moving in a room, both during summer and winter, you will like it and the antlers look neat.

I've seen a bunch of different types of these "antler" fans in cabela's or some other similar catalog. I think they're hidious. Unless you're outfitting a lodge or something with all log furniture I don't see the point. That said some of those things retail for close to a grand,so you're not paying that much. Its all personal taste. My mother and her husband have a house with a similar layout your talking about and the fan isn't really a focal point,I mean obviously when your on the first floor you're hardley going to notice the thing and in the loft you're usually doing something other than staring at the fan and patting yourself on the back about your superior decorating skills.[:D] Pesonally I like plain/clean when it comes to fans.Black or wood,no foofoo.

THAT FAN IS AWESOME! My absolute FAVORITE decor is that woods/outdoorsy style. Just make sure to keep your curtain/upholstery colors dark (like earthy greens and browns), and it should work.

now you need some realtree furniture and your all set. Right on, my gun room has sorta the same decor. Although my paint sceme which at home depot I thought "THIS IS GONNA LOOK SO COOL" kinda looks like something outta a bad spinoff GI JOE cartoon. Oh well.

There is a doctor who lives near me who is supposed to be the guy who originated those things in the 1950's. He has his own place done like that.

Well, the fan is pretty neat, but to be fully responsive to your question in the subject line of the thread, it could be possible that you are an idiot for reasons not revealed here.

I think it looks great & so do alot of other folks, going by all the others who were bidding on it. And no you're not an idiot, you got a bargain & Linda loves it. I think you did good!! ____________________________________ The only hope you have is to accept the fact that you are already dead. I dig it...I live in a real old (100+) log cabin and looked everywhere for some kind of ceiling fan that would look good (vaulted tounge and grove ceiling) and settled on a rustic looking Hunter...looks good but not as good as that...ever want to sell it look me up!!!
