If you are still a teen, then yes you are doing ok. If you are over 30 you are WAY behind the curve. True ammowhores get refused by UPS to do shipments for them. UPS doesn't do pallets. My shipments typically come in by rail. I have to drive down to the depot with a flatbed to pick my stuff up. Normally it takes 3-4 trips. |

You are well on your way to whoredom. If you had been a gun owner for the last 15 years then things would be different...but all of that in 8 months is a very good start! |

Am I an ammo whore? "Ammo Virgin" is more like it. You can't even qualify as an Ammo Slut. |

Most ammo whores around here bought cheap and stacked it deep. The OP bought all of that ammo with the current prices?
Yeah I'd say he's an ammo whore. |

actually another true fact about being an ammo whore is USPS refuses to bring you your bullets and brass, they make you come get it at the post office or when they have it on their truck they dump at the side of your drive way out near the edge of the road.....they did this to us once brought 4 70lb boxes and dropped them right where they stopped.

Damn, in less than a year I would say that's a hell of a start. It's more than I have on hand, anyway.
|
|
Not bad at all for rifles, though you could use some more 9mm if you shoot pistol much.
|
|
You could be like me and have ammo for guns you don't own and have no idea how you got
Maybe I'll see about getting some help........................after I get back from the range |

Sorry guys no pictures at this time I can grab some tonight when I get home.

Ammo Whore = 100,000 plus rounds on hand
Ammo Slut = 30,000-99,999 rounds on hand Ammo Virgin = 10,000 rounds to 29,999 rounds on hand Ammo WannaBE = less than 10,000 rounds. So the question is where do you rank. |
|
I unfortunately; have some somewhat less.
A hell of a lot less. A real hell of a lot less. Obama would tell you to share the wealth. |

Everybody has to start somewhere... http://www.chernicoff.com/pictures/BOLAMMO1.jpg That's around 100K rounds. About 55k in centerfire, 40K in rimfire and 3K in shotgun. It's part of the ammo supply here at my BOL; basically, the deep storage (except for the shotgun ammo). There's another 10-15K of centerfire ammo, most of it 308 and 223 match or hunting calibers like 45/70 and 338 WinMag, plus a couple K of 38 SPL match wadcutters (don't ask). Also ~ 30K of 22 in the ready stash (we go through a lot of 22 ammo). I reall need to come up with a better way of marking the ammo cans; the post-it notes fall off at the slightest provocation. Of course, that's just the BOL supply. And ammo whores are the guys who were buying 8mm by the pallet load when it was cheap to shoot through their beltfeds. I only have about 5 cases of 8mm (not in that picture); I guess I should buy something to shoot it in. I just consider myself a gifted amatuer. I can't figure out how that aluminum shelf withstands all that weight without sagging. Even if it was made of sheet steel, I'd expect it not to last long. |

It's steel and it's rated at 600 lbs per shelf. It's only been setup this way for a couple of months; we'll see how it goes. It's pretty robust; the shelving itself weighs ~ 120 lbs acording to the packaging it came in. |

I wish I could compete. But as it stands, right now I think I could probably carry all of my stash. Although I'd dump a few calibers. I could certainly haul all of my .45 and .223 if my wife grabs all her shotgun supplies. Together we'd make a hell of a last stand. But we'd be mobile till then!
