We have cable in the breakroom. 68 channels, 4 are continously advertising "Girls gone wild" videos, 3 are the same Vonage infomercials, Public access has three channels and is showing some sort of message board, four are Spanish channels showing SPANISH infomercials, CNN is on three with the SAME news, and the Sci Fi channel is blank. 2 are inservice hospital info channels.

All the home and personal makeover shows on HGTV and the other home improvement channels. I'm seriously thinking about blocking them on our dish.
But Honey they make it look so simple on HGTV. Yeah right, what you don't see is the semi with a half a million dollars worth of woodworking tools and the 14 un-employed gay actors looking for their big break who are doing the work off camera.

I can't make myself sit and watch TV anymore. Not even the Simpsons. It's all got so bad in the past ten years, everything from network to cable to commercials to the news- it all sucks.
We stopped watching TV nine years ago. We have a TV and occasionally turn it on, say, for the Olympics, Super Bowl or World Series, but the quality of everything on it has just gone downhill to the point where it just isn't even worth turning it on anymore. If you watch it every day, you don't see how bad it has become. But turn the TV on only every six months, and it will hit you how jarring the decay of the media is.  |

has anybody seen what is on saturday mornings these days?there are NO cartoons i recognize.and i don't think i will let my child watch that drivel. i personally blame MTV for the downward spiral that is TV. also Political Correctness is so out of hand that all the cartoons on saturday morning are black cartoons. i am neither a rascist or a bigot,i hate everyone equally,but where are the white kids on saturday mornings?where is bugs bunny? woody woodpecker? i wish i could find the guy who coined the phrase POLITICALLY CORRECT, and take him to the range for some interactive target practice. here is all the TV a man needs, ESPN,TDC,TWC,THC,and maybe a local channel to see how much they are screwing up your town. cable is highly overrated,which is why we have Basic now,and rates climb every other month. ahh,but the gov't will step in eventually,and everything will be allright,right?
