I came home from work today, I got a phone call that my only living Grandfather was taken to Upper St. Claire hospital in Pittsburgh today. He had taken my aunt to the doctors, and when she came out, he was slumped over, and couldn't move his feet and he was just saying "Nothing's wrong." He was very flush in the face. We're still not sure exactly what it is, it may be a mini-stroke, or a heat stroke, as it is an extremely hot day. He's been more of a father to me than my own, so all I ask is your prayers and best wishes, because he's all I have.

On a side note, here's a picture of my grandfather and I at a party we had for my brother before he deployed to Iraq.

I just found out some new info: He didn't recognize a few people. But he said "That's my wife'' when they asked him who my gram was. He didn't know names, but he knew who people were. They showed him some pictures, and he had to REALLY concentrate as to what they are. He's not getting worse, he's getting better, but he's moving his arms and legs more.

Just got an update:

He's doing MUCH better. He's remembering everyones names, now he can identify objects and images, he remembers everyone, he is moving around much more and his vision is coming back a bit, as it went a little fuzzy in the beginning. They had found no blockages or bleeds, although they could show up tomorrow. They are doing an MRI, and another Cat Scan and they are calling in a neurologist. Things are looking up for him, so I'm definitely in a better and things are looking better. He has an extremely strong grip. The downside is the blood pressure is going up and down regularly. They are checking both on the hour.

Thank you for your prayers, they are working.

Erik
