We need to decide on a weekend that works for most if not all. Please vote.

Better make it a poll, for those who are thinking about coming.

That, Sir, is why you have 7000+ posts, and I do not. You are on top of it all, just always a step ahead![:D]
We also should come up with a really good name for this event. The name should have the phrase, '1st Annual' in it somewhere. Something like, "The 1st Annual Hun Fun Shoot", or, "The 1st Annual Southwestern Sun, Fun, and Hun Shoot" You get the idea. |

I voted for the last weekend in June just so's we could have fireworks at the Farm! But I discount my vote already, since this is totally left up to you guys who want to go! STISteve, do you know where Crowell, Texas, is? In Foard County, near the Panhandle? Well, that's where it's at! Eric The(AlwaysHelpful)Hun[>]:)] |

I say we do Father's Day weekend because I'm off that weekend and the later we go the hotter it'll get.

Not to be a spoilsport or anything, but I just discovered that the mext Market Hall Guns Show is set for the weekend of June 15-16, 2002!
http://www.dallasarms.com/ I don't have to go to this gun show, but REALERIC does, so we're not going to have him out at the Farm that weekend, or his sand rail ('dune buggy') either! Let that be just another factor in making y'alls decision. Eric The(Disappointed)Hun[>]:)] |

I voted June 29-30 because I will probably
go visit my dad on Fathers day weekend. [:(] |

ok eric your superior logic overwhelms me....gunshow weekend-----oops----I change my vote to last weekend...

Crowell, Texas View Quote Only 1,215 miles from here! I think I'll have to pass. That's a little far to go unless there's going to be a Mall Ninja exhibition...z |

I can rent a couple of rooms in Crowell for the pansies, er, I mean the less rugged among us. Stay Friday night, Saturday night, hell Sunday night if you want! Eric The(Hospitable)Hun[>]:)] |

Well, wiggy as much as I'd like that date, it's losing to Father's Day weekend at present.
Does anyone who voted for Father's Day weekend now wish to change their vote to the last weekend in June? Let us know so we can get this settled! Eric The(Honest)Hun[>]:)] |

Eric is hosting a shoot? Ohmy ohmy ohmy....
[bounce][bounce][bounce][bounce] I dont care what date it is... I will be there! |

Anyone seen him lately? I know he and his brother will probably come and we need to find out if the last weekend in June will work for them! Someone e-mail TheRedGoat for us! Eric The(Can'tE-MailRightNow)Hun[>]:)] |

Any weekend but fathers day, my son leaves for camp in New Mexico that Sunday morning. But whatever goes for the crowd. What to bring for eats? Do we need cookers or just "pork chop in cans" (Beer)? Someone let us know what to bring....Fullclip

It's beginning to look like the last weekend in June is the winner in the poll! Please sound off if you have extreme problems with these dates.
|
|
fullclip, you can bring anything you want to eat and we can cook it there at the cabin. Or we can just pick up munchies and just drive into town for our meals at either the Crowell Steak House or the Downhome Bakery.
No one to my knowledge has ever starved out at the Farm within recorded history.[:D] I like going to town to eat, especially in June, since we can hang out with some air-conditioning for awhile. Here's the website for Crowell, Texas, to give you an idea about the town:http://www.crowelltex.com/ Note that Copper Breaks State Park is nearby and that's where we go to 's***, shower, and shave.' It's about a ten minute drive from the Farm. Yes, 4-wheelers are OK, but let me say this. The Farm is about 1,000 acres and our family has leased 400 acres to a farmer/rancher who grows wheat on the 400 acres to feed out his cattle. So there will be winter wheat in the fields. You can drive your dirt bikes, dune buggies, sand rails, 4-wheelers, whatever over all the roads on the farm and over all the uncultivated fields, and in the Pease River. But not on the farmer/rancher's wheat. That's the only off-limits on the Farm. You can walk on it. You can shoot into it. But if you drive on it, our lessee gets ticked. With 600 acres plus free and clear, that shouldn't cramp your style very much.[:D] YeeeHaaawww! Eric The(FreakinOut)Hun[>]:)] |

June 29 and 30 is OK by me. ETH, is it OK for us to come over Friday? I don't mind to have a head start.[:D] |

Since Bulletfest in Ohio happens to be the last weekend in June, wouldn't it be neat to have all of the regional shoots on the same weekend..?
To me, it would show strength and unity! |
