http://www.gunsholstersandgear.com/2013/09/09/all-caracal-c-pistols-recalled/ Caracal announced today a recall of every C model pistol the company has ever made. The recall is not limited to any specific serial numbers or market.
The safety issue(s) with the Caracal C cannot be fixed according to information released by the company. No guns will be repaired and/or returned to the purchaser. Caracal is offering a full refund of the original purchase price or vouchers for other Caracal products. View Quote |

WTF. How is it not fixable? There is no information available on that release at all.

That sucks. No interest in that gun at all, but I hate to see the gun culture hurt.
Good on them to own up to a safety issue, even if it knowingly puts them under. |

I saw some and just assumed they were Turkish guns. Odd they're out of the UAE, any sort of prior experienced management making them?

I wonder if the problem is similar to the one with the M&P Shield? All of those were just recalled too.

Hate to say it... If I owned one, I'd hang onto to it as a safe queen / oddity.
I shot one of each the F and C models... Both were pretty decent shooters. Guess I'm lucky the C didn't snakebite me. |
