I saw a trailer on HBO last night for the HBO movie "Path to War". It's primarily about LBJ and the effect the Vietnam War had on his presidency. And guess who is playing Robert McNamara?? Yep, it's Baldwin.

For those unaware, this is the same guy who promised that he would leave the country if George W. Bush were elected President.

He called the recount of the Florida presidential ballots a disaster and said that this "disaster" ... "has done as much damage to our country as any terrorist attack could do."

Although the movie appears that it may be interesting and HBO is promoting it as an accurate portrayal of the LBJ Presidency, I don't think I'll be watching!

That was a brilliant piece of casting.  One prick playing another prick. Robert McNamara was one of the bigger assholes of 20th century American politics, in my opinion.

Yeah, I saw the irony too! Wonder if it was 'type-casted'?
