The absurd "reasoning" involved in denying pilots weapons would would make Camus blush:

1. It is a perfectly reasonable option to scramble fighter jets to destroy a hijacked plane by shooting it down with a missile.

2. It is unreasonable to allow pilots to be armed with pistols to prevent hijackers from controlling a plane. Passengers might be hurt.

This nation has gone totally fvcking insane.
