Where in Iowa are you guys from? I lived in Dubuque for 8 yrs and have family in Cedar Rapids and Boone. No tornados here in Alaska though [:D]

I'd love to get back to Iowa and do this once. Tornadoes are fascinating unless they are headed your way.

Ditto to that. I'd love to spend a couple weeks one spring/summer in Tornado Alley chasing them down.
