And rik and I intensely disagree on Bush, which is odd because I'm the one working hard to get him relected. (I have problems with our military policy---not enough troops or equipment, too many national guard and inactive reserves on duty--and jobs--way too many lost cost imports and energy costs too high) Odd what people get into ruts fighting about here. |

One of these days (this thread isn't the one) I'm going to "out" him for a few things I know about him. Not in a way in which he will be upset with me, mind you, but he is an overly humble and almost secretive sumbitch who really warrants a bit of exposure for at least some of the things he does for others. This site (the AR15.com "family") has a large number of really good people who do things to help others, etc.--and a smaller core group of those who REALLY put themselves out for the benefit of others. CavVet is one of the latter--but he always does it in a way which does not draw attention, and often even does things anonymously. He does more for the RKBA cause each month than most of us do in two years. I am not exaggerating. More to follow someday.

Dunno about that. He has NEVER mentioned you to me. I wasn't even aware there was any "campaign" against you. I think I recall a thread about you in Team a while back, but those are hardly "campaigns"--at least in any effective way. I only see you posting well within the Conduct Code--all who do so have absolutely nothing to worry about. It is always our goal to retain members--never to lose them, unless they/you make it necessary. Basically, anyone who WANTS to be here, will be, considering the normal warnings and such, and a final, "If you do this, or anything like it, again--you will be banned." There is virtually always a "final warning"--except in the most obvious situations a la FrankTheSpank. Besides, no one demanded you laud him, no?

Man, when I opened my IM, and someone said I had a fan club, I was damn near scared to hit the link for fear of what I would find. I humbly appreciate the kind words and hope I can live up to them.    It aint easy being me, but I sure get my rocks off from it. I catch political hell from almost everyone in my life, I am odd man out in my city (X10), and even in my refuge of here I seem to always end up in the middle of some kind of shitstorm. Although there is something to be said for solitude, never having a dull moment is kinda cool. Ok my solitude in this writing is gone. As often I surf, FNC is on. That fucking frog lovin John Ketchup is now prostituting our fallen soldiers to slam GWB. I swear if he was in my front room right now I would kick his ass to hells half acre.
