Went to the range with a couple of friends to workup some new loads and generaly screw around. We had a pickup full of rifles and ordinance and the weather was fine. Right off the bat we did some rock and roll with suppressed H&K G36 and some tracers(that really stops the shooting on the range)but when you switched from auto to two round burst the damn thing would stovepipe every time-bummer. So we switch over to a suppresed Uzi and that is some fun, rock and roll magazine after magazine, that is until the the thing goes KABOOM in my friends hand and sprays plastic reciever parts into my face. A round had stuck in the barrel and well you know what happens when it gets followed by three or four more in a few seconds. so then on to the .50 and more fun with the suppressor and subsonic it is suprisingly quiet. And then we try to chrono some new high penetration bullets and jam one tight in the barrel. That left the Ar's and the tactical rifles(no more auto's) and that went without a hitch. I'll have to send some pics when i get around to it.

What ammo were you using in the G36? Dirty surplus, I'll bet.

the G36 was fed several different types af ammo. the tracers were mil and we fired them full auto with no jams in 100+ rounds. we did some hand loads, which would cycle fine on auto but jamed on the double tap setting. We also did some hand loaded glass penetrators that we were doing some experimental work on which would also jam on dt. I think it has to do with the funky "ratchet" stop on the Dt setting. Even with the suppessor, the G36 is difficult to control on auto fire due to the very light weight. I here this is a known defect.
