I sold my last AR last fall just before GunstockII.

This summer, I decided that I 'needed' another one.

So, here she is:

Armalite M15A2 lower (purchased from ceylonc)
CMT/stag 6-position stock w/ H-buffer(Purchased from eaglefirearms.net)
LMT 14.5" M4 upper w/. permanently attached Gemtech FH and YHM FF handguard (purchased from TalonArms_R)
EoTech 512 and Pentagonlight X3 (Purchased from avengeusa)
$10 tactical sling (made on a modified version of ggllggll's design)
Light is mounted in a set of $8 Millett rings, on a YHM offset rail, all from Brownells - as are the magazines, mag-cinch, TangoDown battlegrip, and YHM front sling swivel.
Midwest Industries BUIS, bought from 556_Chowder

I think that's it.

Oops - I forgot the rubber bands - I picked those up at the office. I'm going to wait and run a few hundred more rounds through the brownells magazines before I trim the straps off of the mag-cinch, so I just used rubberbands to hold 'em down while I'm still getting comfortable with the brownell's magazines. And I'm also using a rubberband to hold down the cord on the pentagonlight's tape switch.

I may swap the cheap rings and the YHM offset rail that the light is mounted in for a Daniel Defense rail mount. I think it may hold the light a little closer to the forearm. Time will tell.

Anyway, I'm happy so far.

Somewhere along the way, I accidentally bought back my last AR lower assembly - so now I am, again, in the market for another upper. I just can't decide what I want.

Groups at 100 yards, so far, with the Eotech and UMC or WWB 55 grain FMJ have ran in the 1.5"-2" neighborhood.

Last week, I was really in too big of a hurry to be shooting groups, but I did shoot 5 shots at 275 yards (from sandbags, of course) just to see what it would do. The 5 shots went into 8", which is certainly nothing spectacular (especially for someone used to shooting precison bolt guns with big optics), but it proved to me that the gun would hit anything I could see to shoot at.

(If the shooter done his part)

I mounted the front sling swivel to the TOP of the rail. I don't see many AR pictures set up this way, but so far, it hasn't interfered with anything, and it seems to make the gun hang better when slung.

<shrug>

I really like the MI BUIS. It does wiggle frront-to-back just a bit, but that's a mere annoyance, not a serious issue.

Group photo:

So far, I have shot maybe 300 rounds through the gun. No problems of any kind whatsoever.

Question. With the EOTech mounted directly on the rail, can you se the front sight post at all? Does it interfere with you sight line?

Tag for when the photoserver is backup.

ETA good choice on the EOTech. I have played with the EOTech's and Aimpoints and I think the EOTech is a better optic. If I had the ability I would get the ACOG but $750 is too much for what we get for it.

I sandbagged my AR with the EOTech two weeks ago and at 75 yards I had a 90rd 3" group wich I don't think is bad considering I didn't let the barrel cool.

We haven't been to the doctor yet to see what she's gonna be. I'm kinda hoping for another carbine.

The YHM handguard was a bit off-center, and last night I broke it loose to re-align it. After the 5th try, I gave up - with it still slightly off-center. I think I'll buy one of those wrenches today......

I shot it some more this morning. Only 60 rounds - the local goose flock dropped by after the second magazine, so I stopped shooting for the day. My deer don't seem to mind the noise (I had a doe 50 yards from the target while I was shooting this morning) but the geese tend to leave after a few shots.

<--likes geese.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm really enjoying this one.

That's funny - first time I have used the photoserver in several months, and I broke it.

*sigh*

I have heard of some people using a carry handle mounted to the receiver and the YHM ff tube to align.

Nice setup. Everytime I see pics of a fully accessorized AR I keep wanting to add more to mine.
