Arrived Approximately 1330. Place was relatively empty. Walked right up to the gun counter and there was no need to take a number. Looked at the Beretta 92FS Compact Inox. I felt the grip was too short and din't fit my hand. Went over the the ammo aisle expecting nothing. The bulk .22LR rack was empty but there was a lot of bulk 7.62x39 ($130/640), 4 cans of bulk .223 ($450/840) and plenty of small boxes of .223 ($9/20). There was no handgun ammo at all.

What I found interesting was that the bulk per unit price for .223 was higher ($0.53/ea) than the small 20 packs ($0.45). There was no limit on any ammo except .22LR (there was none anyway) so I picked up 20 boxes of the 20pk. I never shot this brand before but I've seen plenty of these empty boxes at the range so I assume it's an acceptable brand. There is still plenty of 20 packs as well as the 4 bulk cans as of 1530.

Picked up some clothing as well and my 4.5 round trip was complete.

Cool. Gonna head over there some time in August. We always make a stop at St. Julian winery for cheap hooch.

That dang store always got a sizeable chunk of my pay everytime I worked at the Monroe Edison station .

I havent been there in a few years but was always impressed by the amount of reloading items and the selection of bullets .Their cafe had a great breakfast buffet on Sunday morning .....their Bargain Cave was always impressive too .

Nothing wrong with PMC. Constitutes more than half of what I shoot at the range.

Best I have seen that PMC here has been $11.50/box-20

Gun Room was packed with guns this time but I didn't find a Garand or M1 Carbine that I was looking for. For some reason there were a lot of disguised .22LR like MP15-22. the GSG line and even a 10/22 M1 Carbine

What did they have in their handgun cases? Any GI 45s or old S&Ws or Colts?

Sorry I didn't look because I already have one but I think they may have been used or consignment. Had rail lights and forward pistol grips on some.

Was it owned by Patton and personally blessed by Ike?

For that $$$$$ it should have been in 100% condition.

Looked it up, $6999.00. Nice shape but has bluing thinning, looks almost like someone lightly/carefully scotch padded it.

I'll stick with the one I got for less then a 1/3 of that one.

Check Midwest Gun Exchange in Indiana.  They often have smoking deals on M&P 15-22.  Got mine a year or so ago, with F/H for 379, 404 out the door with tax.  Jeff
