FOB salerno. the army was harrassing us too bad in bagram so the brass pulled a deal to move the Cobras out on the FEBA where they racked up an incredible success rate at an unbelieveable sortie rate. "task force red dog" on the military channel is my unit and you can spot a couple members of this board if you know who to look for.

I was there in late 2001 early 02. FOB Rhino and the K'har. It sucked...I lived right next to a recon team right outside the backdoor of the terminal. Atleast I lived close enough to a good group of guys if the SHTF. Take care and be safe....be prepared for dust/dirt on everything.

greetings from beautiful, sunny Ghazni province. Been in country a year and a day, now...the end just seems to get farther away. glad I love it here. 6th FOB in a year. BAF sux. OE was great. Weather is beautiful, stars are bright, air is fresh...Have a great time!

Okay, take me of the Afghan-a-list for now. Blackwater sort of involuntarily extended me on my current contract... Somehow "IF we asked you to extend here? and my reply of maybe turned into a 3 month contract extension. Communication is essential...
