If you plan on using the EE here to sell an item in the future, please refrain from listing any item for sale if you fit any of the following criteria.
1: You have a job that requires you to spend a great deal of time out of town on "Business trips". 2: You work 84 hours a week or more, and can't get to the post office for weeks at a time. 3: You live more than 30 miles from the nearest post office. 4: You have an immediate family member(s) that is/are in any danger of dying before the sale is completed. 5: You have any sort of "beef" with your local postal employees and they will intentionally lose or misplace items that you have shipped. 6: You have "dead areas" in your vehicles that are large enough to hold envelopes or packages that fall down into them, and render the item(s) impossible to find for weeks. 7: You are in the middle of a divorce. 8: You are in the middle of planning a wedding. 9: You are in the middle of a move. 10: You are in the middle of a career change. 11: You have intermittent internet/email access/ capability. Particularly when it goes out AFTER you receive payment, but BEFORE you ship the item. 12: You have small children that will "hide" packages that you've prepared promptly for shipment, but can't be found in those pesky "hiding spots" for weeks or even months. If you fit in any of these categories, please DON'T sell on the EE. That is all. Thank you |
|
If you want fast shipping, order from SKD or somewhere else that has a garranty to ship in 24 hours.
I'm usually able to ship packages the next day after receiving payment. I can also usually ship a MO out the next day after I commit to buying. But there have been a few times I've been later than that. |

+1..
Msg too short.. ETA. I could have sworn that I had over 9 feedbacks by now. |
|
This is why I rarely do private internet sales anymore.
I have a similar list for buyers. |
|
Post office 24hr Kiosks allow me to get most packages in the mail same day
|
|
Don't forget about guys looking to buy in the EE.
Seller: Looking for $800 OR BEST OFFER. NO TRADES Potential buyer: Will you take trades? Whats your absolute bottom dollar?
|
|
And don't sell ANYTHING for a profit, as the seller it is your responsibility to take a loss.
amiright? |
|
Yeah and let me know when you are shipping and don't log in DAILY and not give me any information as to why I waited 2 weeks for 5 magazines.
Communication is not that difficult. And this is why you start getting neutral feedback. It's not rocket science. And post positive feedback when I send you payment after 24 hours. |

I emailed you yesterday and told you I'd take it!" Seller: "Umm... because he Posted in the thread" Buyer: "That's bullshit!! I'm leaving you a neg!" |

I'm out of state potentially 9 months out of the year. I state my time limitations as needed.

Should be a no pic, no post rule, I especially hate the "I have pics, email me for them" bullshit, learn to host and post pics.

I needed cash for a plane ticket home for post deployment leave Listed my scope in the EE and stated that it would be 2 months before I could even ship the scope. Within an hour of making the thread, someone here "took it" and sent me money via paypal. Kind of awesome having people here who don't bitch about having things sent immediatly and paying for an item 2 months before I could even get my hands on it It was my Super Sniper 10x scope (w/ side parallax) and a LaRue LT-104 scope mount. I think I sold it for $425 |

Communication is not that difficult. View Quote This is the problem that I'm currently facing that's about to force me to leave my 1st EVER negative feedback in 15 years on this site. I've cut many people breaks when I probably should've given negs, but I'm pretty flexible and extremely forgiving in these situations. All I ask is that you keep the communication alive. Regardless of the situation, I'm willing to forgive as long as you don't hide from me. The seller I'm currently dealing with is in full-on, head-in-the-sand mode. SITUATION: Seller posted item for sale with pics. Seller had double digit, 100% positive feedback. No mention was made of any type of shipping limitations in the listing. I purchased and paid for an item on 12/01/14. On 12/08/14 I inquired through email to get a status update and ask for a tracking#. Seller responded quickly that the item was returned to him that morning due to insufficient postage, but it was re-sent with the proper postage immediately. No tracking # was provided. On 12/12/14, I again inquired about the status and again requested a tracking #. Seller responded quickly and said his girlfriend had the tracking # and he would send it to me after work that night. On 12/13/14, I AGAIN requested the tracking #, but there was no reply. On 12/14/14 I AGAIN requested the tracking #, but there was no reply. On 12/15/14 I AGAIN requested either the tracking # or a refund by the end of the day. (Some people may consider this too strong, but in my opinion, 3 days without a reply is unacceptable when in the middle of an EE transaction and it's YOUR turn to act) It's now the 16th and I really don't want to neg this guy or anyone else for that matter, but he's really leaving me no choice in the matter. If he would just reply to my emails I'm sure we can resolve this, but it seems he'd rather just hope I go away. Opinions? |

I've been guilty of 1, 4, 8, 11.
1 and 11 are because the army likes to bone me though 4 was unexpected. And 8.... how the fuck else was I supposed to pay for it?? |

I would add that your PSA shit is not worth more than PSA is currently selling it for.

I need to sell sand proof panties; there seems to be a market here.

I left negative for a buyer once when he continually persisted to tell me that he was buying a 6.5 Grendel barrel I had for sale several years ago.
4 or 5 times he said he was sending payment but never received it and had the ad marked as sold pending funds during the whole bit. I also waited 3 weeks for a couple BCGs from someone who left it for someone else to ship. No personal responsibility I suppose. I take care of my own business quite effectively and efficiently and leaving a box for someone else to send is foolish. Take care of your own sales. We expect this. There's also a seller whose feedback was in the 600s and he didn't even take the time to email me a tracking #. And buyers---when someone lists items as for sale and says email them---do so. Just because my IM box was full doesn't mean you can't get in touch with me. Again---read the ad and start communication the right way please. |

Sellers should own a fucking digital camera.
In this day and age if you can't post a fucking picture of your $3500.00 item you're an idiot. When I open an EE ad and there is not a picture I move on. |
|
|
|
On another forum I had a guy hold off several weeks on shipping my package because he was in a car wreck. Apparently my small package had been trapped behind crumpled metal and his wrecked car was at the junk yard. Fortunately his young son was small enough to reach into the crevice and retrieve my package.
That being said the vast majority of my online dealings have been excellent. |

I think you hit the nail on the head with these.
On a side note, as I was reading through these for the first time it occurred to me that you were describing the perfect seller: a basement dwelling, GD loving neckbeard without a job or a life. |

No pics in the ad, I pass. Especially any higher dollar items.
