Stupid hollywood executives. But I repeat myself.

ABC is airing a remade version of the Ten Commandments this week.

abc.go.com/specials/thetencommandments.html

Blasphemy. There's no reason to remake this movie. Maybe they felt they had to put sayed from lost in a movie and that's the only one they go imagine him fitting in. Who knows.

At least they're still airing the original next weekend. It wouldn't be easter without the ORIGINAL ten commandments being on tv.

Reminds me of the Noah's ark thing that was put together a while back. ESTER was on the boat!!

The only things they managed to get right were that it had:

Noah
God
a boat
and water

I just can't wait to see which biblical character has a drug problem or is secretly gay.

Blasphemy!!!

I have lost count of how many great movies have been screwed up by remakes.

There, fixed it for you.

People have original ideas, but once they get to hollywood, they either get shot down or turned into something that fits with the formula.

The cartoon Moses movie wasn't bad, as I remember

And the original Ten Commandments movie SUCKED as I remember.

It's a great story, worth retelling. The Bible has a lot of material, lord knows.

Ahhhh , so your talking about the 1923 original with Theodore Roberts
and not the 1956 Remake with Charlton Heston ?

Both produced by Cecil B. De Mille , by the way

I like the '56 version, although a new version might be interesting.

A silent movie being remade as a 'talkie' gets a free pass for pretty obvious reasons.

"Lame" isn't the word.

"Horrid" is more like it.
