One of my oldest, dearest, friends husband is a producer. He did his first feature film last year, and it won 2 awards tonight!
 Little Miss Sunshine Best original screenplay Best supporting actor--Alan Arkin. I SUCK that I haven't seen the movie yet, but I DID buy it!  |

Did it? I'm a good friend, but don't have it in me to go to an Academy Awards party. I went to the Ducks game instead. eta: And watched my Ducks school CO.

4xDawn: Congrads that is really, really good. Very few people get nominated(and this is an honor in itself) but to actually win it is great feeling. Years ago circa 1975, I was an usher at the Los Angeles County Music Center Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, I actually got to see a 3 preentations.

Also did any body else notice how much SPANISH and other languages were spoken??? i couldnt help but say something to my girlfriend, she looked at me and was like "I was about to say the same thing"

Was he one of these cats? That's a long list of producers at any rate. I have not watched it but have heard good things. I generally like offbeat stories and this looks like one for sure. LMS was a very good movie. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Alan Arkin and Steve Carell were especially good.

I REALLY don't like Carell, but I've been a fan of Arkin's work for years (ever since I saw him in the original The In-Laws as a child) so I'll probably have to see this one. |
