A buddy's brother just got wounded by an ied over there, but he is ok.  He took shrapnel to the legs while he was manning a .50, but he is ok.  I knew a few people around here were saying everyone should invest in those goggles that are rated up to .22 to stop shrapnel.  We are not sure if he has a pair or not over there, but we were thinking about buying him one.   I never really went over the previous threads, but I guess this one kinda hit close to home.  If anyone has links to any of the threads that had  stuff he could use could you post them here?  Thanks in advance.

The Army currently issues both Wiley-X goggles/shades and ESS goggles under the RFI programme. Evidently he's not gotten the issue yet.

For the sake of weaing shades under a CVC, I've gone and purchased Wiley-X G-lines.
