What model of 458 Win Mag did Harry use when sniping off the roof?

Thanks

You mean that fag Scorpio? I thought he used a .30-06?

"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream..."

Ruger 10/22
Link Posted: 9/25/2005 5:53:27 PM EDT
Harry uses a 458 Win Mag to try to tag Scorpio IIRC.

Somebody said DH was on tv today and it prompted this question.

Link Posted: 9/25/2005 5:53:33 PM EDT
I think he means the gun that he used to lay in wait for Scorpio on the rooftop.
Link Posted: 9/25/2005 5:54:27 PM EDT
AH yes, now I remember what you're talking about.

I will try and research this...
Link Posted: 9/25/2005 5:56:54 PM EDT
Yeah Scorpio had a .30/06

Link Posted: 9/25/2005 6:00:07 PM EDT

Doctor: Sure, Harry. We can save the leg.
[takes out some scissors]
Harry Callahan: What are you going to do with those?
Doctor: Going to cut your pants off.
Harry Callahan: No. I'll take them off.
Doctor: It'll hurt.
Harry Callahan: $29.50, let it hurt.

Diana Davidson? IMDB.com identifies her only as the "Swimmer". There's a lot of uncredited actors and actresses in that movie:

The image of the officers in Magnum Force was undoubtedly used for the T-1000.

It was her. She was un-credited.

You guys forgot about "The Gauntlet" a loose spin off of the Dirty Harry persona named Ben Shockley. He used a stanless 4" model 629 for that one. I love seeing old Phoenix, before it got too big.

Back when I carried my 3" Horton Special model 29 round butt, my buddies called me "Dirty Ryan." I miss that gun.
Link Posted: 9/26/2005 11:07:25 PM EDT
"He used a stainless 4" model 629 for that one".

Sorry, wrong. There was a write up on the Gauntlet where they showed and discussed the gun.

It was a factory "one off" Model 66 .357 Magnum with a 2 1/2" barrel and a SQUARE butt frame.

no. as said above he played ben shockley, a washed up alky who was set up to go down with a hooker witness targetted by the mob.

My guess would be a skinhead/88 connection since Scorpio was a racist character.

Not sure. The skins actually started in the 60's, but didn't start the real 88 stuff until the mid 70's early 80's. Some of the stuff begins right at the time the movie came out. Wikipedia has some decent info on the meanings of the white laces and the early skins. The ADL is also a good source for info. I was just taking a SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess) at it. Kinda made sense when I first thought about it.
