They beleive AK-47s are illegal in the US.

Here is something to start off, add on to it.

1934-NFA ACT controls Machine guns, destructive devices, short-barreled rifles and shotguns.

1968-GCA Bans importation of Machine guns, all guns must have serial numbers on them, bans "mail order guns"

1989-"Sporting clause" Import ban bans foreign made rifles that are semi-automatic and....(?)

1994- Clinton Violent Crime Control act bans "assault weapons" with more than 2 evil features-Bayonet lug, collapsible stock, pistol grip, flash suppressor, threaded barrel and bans the manufacture of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammo. Magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammo and guns that were made before September 13th 1994 are grandfathered, meaning the are legal, however one that was made on September 14th is NOT.

2004-Clinton Violent Crime control acts expires at the stroke of midnight, meaning that Gun manufacturers can now make rifles with all of the "evil features"-Bayonet lug, threaded barrel, collapsible stocks, flash suppressors, etc.

Add to this.

Thanks a bunch. Maybe Steyr Aug could throw his wisdom in...?
