On my bedroom wall, and no my wife doesn't really like it lol. Sorry for the crappy pic, couldn't get enough light in the room and had to hit it at that angle so the flash wouldn't reflect. The other one is a professional sketch of a B-52 that my grandfather flew.

So there I was getting gas at MCAS Beufort, SC. We are on the VAL line....A B1 comes SCREAMING over head, mid field, I see green flares fall. The B1 went full after burners and left in a hurry.
About 4 minutes later some F-15's came by looking for him. VAL line guy say's that every now and then the B1's take off from the home base, head out over the water..NORAD or who ever has to scramble the intercepts..If they fail, we see the green flares. If the intercepts win, we never see the B1. I have no idea if it is true or not, it is just what I saw and what I was told. Other than the Herk, that plane is such an awesome thing to see and witness. |
