But what it actually means is you contribute. You participate in this little community. You do more than just ask questions, you answer them too.

I think time "as a member" is more indicative of knowledge than post count. You cannot read these forums for more than six months and not become more enlightened.

And finally "post count" probably means you suck at shooting. Seriously, how often do you imagine the 2k+ guys get to the range?

We all need to be more attentive to those posting with low post counts.  Too many times these people are attacked and driven from the board and just as often their posts are ignored.

New members, new ideas are the things that keep us informed and...........pissed off (at times).

Post count means nothing! Like 'AUG said, it's mostly just an indicator of how much you participate around here. Some participate a [b]lot[/b] more than others (ETH![:D])


But remember all the complaining that went on when the post counts were hidden for a while?

Well, participation is 25% of your final grade.

Well, OBVIOUSLY a high post count means....

...the poster is of FAR above average intelligence, charm, affluence, handsomeness and verility than that average person.

A member's post count can and does mean many different things.

High post counts can be indicative of a member's substantial knowledge of a variety of subjects or being communicative, helpful, engaging, witty, and verbose.

Other times high post counts can be construed as a member who is stubborn, repetitive, or likes to provoke others. Or who doesn't pay close attention or really comprehend what is being said before replying. Look at how many one or two line zinger replies many of the high post count members have. it almost appears as if they would often rather get a smart remark in than take the time to really understand what the other person is saying and then contribute something productive.

Also note the threads started with the sole purpose of raising post counts (not naming any names here, BusMaster. Ooops. [:)] ). But what really is the point of that? Too much emphasis on post counts.

I personally spend more time reading and gathering different points of view or searching for answers to questions I may have here than I do posting. I just don't know how some of you guys manage to attain such high post counts. This must be the only place you frequent on the Internet. Not that ther's anything wrong with that.

So besides following me around the GD and complaining about me, topics in BOLD, your only contribution is a couple topics. Your main activity is the "for sale" forums. So you seem to have a garage sale approach to these forums. A place to buy and sell your wares.
