I love using a fly-rod and a weighted nymph for those.  It's too bad that they are horrible-tasting.

Nice...my 10 year old daughter and I have been fishing together since she was 5.  She caught a 4.5 lb. large mouth a couple of weeks ago.  She landed it by herself.  It was her first decent fish and takes its place as one of my best memories with her.

Dude, you're probably closer to Obama than I am!

I have tried sunfish from all around Ontario and Quebec growing up and they tasted like crap.  There is something very off in the meat.  I can't put my finger on it but you'd agree if you tasted it.  This is from different bodies of water including different types of lakes and rivers.

Same thing here in NH and VT.

I've heard that they taste great in other parts of the country.  You know that sunfish up north can't taste good because no matter where you go you can catch them.

I don't include bluegill or crappie as 'sunfish'.  Those taste awesome up here.

There were ten in all that evening...I cheated and went on Saturday too.

The tenth one was a FATTY, but I didn't get a pic. I just liked #7's pic too much to keep trying.....

Just came back from fishing with the kiddies (9 and 6 years old).  Nightcrawlers and bobbers make for hours of fun.

My daughter caught a Largemouth Bass fry the length of her finger. We put it in a water bottle and brought it home and put it in my wife's koi pond.

Can't wait til it gets bigger
