Pretty cool.  Title should be "Day in the life of a pilot for a major airline."

Brought back some memories.  Most of them bad.  I never made it to the majors, so I did 7-8 legs a day average.  Most of the overnights were minimum rest, get in late and go out early.  My daughter wouldn't let me hold her when I would get off of my trips.  It would take a couple days for her to warm up to me and then I was gone again.  It was pretty miserable.

I don't miss the job, but I do miss flying.

Awesome!

Almost makes me wish I hadn't opted out of commercial pilot training.

Yep, it's pretty much like that...I've made that flight lots of times...great video!

The part they left out was the time away from home, missed holidays, divorces, fatigue, fatigue, fatigue...

But the best part is getting to fly a nice big jet all over the world. half

Ive got a long, long way to go yet, but I hope thats me some day.

I'll give up having a family or being paid well, just let me fly....

Swap the flight attendants for loadmasters, the passengers for sweaty Marines, throw in some training with a gas mask and that was the life of an Air Force cargo pilot.

Good luck.

If the business continues like it is, you'll be guaranteed to not be paid well.

That's pretty cool. I used to build indicators for commercial airplanes at Honeywell for Boeing and McDonald Douglas about 18 years ago, just like the Altimeter they kept showing in the video.

Damn that gave me a hard on. I love flying.

Since my father is the head check airman of the 757/767 fleet at AA, I will ask him if he knows those guys.

Would be more like BARREL DIVE Time......

And then, you get to see if the engine bolts really are engineered to fail at 3.5G's......

Then, you're Captain of one of those big GLIDERS......

You do know that the first B707 was barrel rolled by the chief pilot for Boing, with reporters on board!

Awesome video

I decided last week to finally give up any hope of being a military or commercial pilot... My eyes are too nearsighted and I wouldn't have the money for commercial training

Yes, I'm very aware of that (I have a Print of Dash 80 upside down over Lake Washington).  It was flown by a very experienced Test Pilot!!!

What I'm refering to is a Cessna Pilot grabbing the controls of a big jet, getting it upside down, and having to yank the wings off of it to recover.

The Barrel Dive would even happen in the T-38.  It's a finesse maneuver.....

Looked pretty cool.  I wouldn't want to do that for a living though.
