Ok, lots of press on this stuff lately, and I must say I am a bit confused.  What kind of ads (or more properly "speech") does McCain-Feingold regulate?  Print? Video?  Radio?  Internet?  Could someone explain how the following situations are affected under McCain-Feingold:

-A canidate wants to run ads exposing his opponents policies
-The NRA wants to run some ads exposing an anti-gun canidate
-I get together with a few friends and we want to run some ads exposing socialist canidates, etc.
