I have a digital video camera and want to edit and combine different files. The software that came with the camera is very basic and doesn't fit my needs. What is a good software program to edit, combine files, add music, etc? User friendliness is definately a plus.

The camera is a DCR-SR40.

Sony Vegas is supposed to be good. You can download free trials. Try the $800 professional version for free also!

Nuttin... when I read A/V guys, it was the first thing I thought of. We had A/V guys in school way back when, who ran the projectors, set up the film strips and slide shows. Am I old?
