This quickly escalates into open conflict by the end of "Action Comics" #41, when a welcome home block party for Superman is about to be stormed by police in full riot gear while the de-powered hero tries to take on a massive monster several blocks away. It's a moment that echoes similar events that have unfolded across the country recently in cities like Ferguson and Baltimore, where law enforcement — primed to use excessive force — attempt to strong-arm peaceful citizens into submission. Like in those cities, the smallest miscalculation can lead to utter chaos. It's a beautiful, arresting image by artist Aaron Kuder and colorist Tomeu Morey, a cathartic moment for anyone who saw the shocking imagery coming out of Ferguson and felt utterly powerless. But that's not even the real gut punch. The cops march anyway, raining tear gas on the citizens and even attacking an officer who objects to the proceedings— while Jimmy Olsen photographs the entire ugly affair. View Quote Go fuck yourselves, D.C. I hope your offices burn. |

While the racially diverse march behind the liberal whip-masters, they fail to recall the Clinton Era surge of law enforcement funded by the Federal Government. |

Fuck clickbait titles. I'm not clicking that. View Quote Do you know what clickbait is? This is an article from Business Insider, which is not the most reputable information source, but it certainly isn't clickbait. The article gushes over the comic and makes it clear that the author of the article and the comic think the cops started the riots in Ferguson and Baltimore. The articles includes lots of panels from the comics in case you want to see for yourself if I got the right impression. |

Left you breathless or left you hyperventilating? My guess is the latter.
Fuck DC is right. |

I try to use the full title of an article when I post it so it will show in a search if someone checks before they post the same material. It's also an accurate description of the dreck in the article. The liberal idiot who wrote it ejactulate over the way it portrayed the cops in Ferguson and Baltimore as KGB era goons who get off when they aim guns at peaceful protesters. It shows a cop launch a tear gas grenade into a peaceful crowd and another cop refers to the first guy's Russian (Soviet) name - "Davidovitch, what the hell are you doing?" |

i seen the headline on yahoo this morning. it doesn't surprise me any, marvel and DC both have been pushing so much SJW shit lately, its disgusting.

All of a sudden, I feel way less bad about catching the bay releases of the Christopher Nolan Batman films. |

Well as someone who has been to a comic book store lately, I I'll tell you that you should stop in your local comic shop and browse a bit. If you find this little bit of superman fiction unsavory the current release wall should send u into full blow hissy fit. Life is too fucking short to get bent out of shape at every chance you get. Believe me I miss the old days, hell not a day goes by that I don't l miss the days before cell phones but I'm not gonna get pissed everytime I see one. If all you look for is the bad that's all you see. I honestly believe everyone could stand a little less outrage in their lives. And as someone with around ten boxes of Marvel and Independent titles I can assure you that DC sucked long before this issue. |

LOL, have you seen the people who go to comic book stores? I thought comic books were ghey even as a child. Go get laid losers.

Primed for excessive force - you see, you need less force when the community respects the police, and mere asking results in instructions being followed. If you don't respect the police, they use more and more force so that their orders are carried out.
Lets look at our military and Russia's during world war too. We told our GI's to do it, and they did it - or died trying. Russia told it's conscripts to do something, and they did it - because a machine gun was pointed at their backs and they were shot if they turned around. --- How long before Superman enters into a homosexual marriage? |

Police brutality in minority neighborhoods is acceptable.
Police brutality on white college students after a game is bad Asking police if they'll take your guns when ordered is ok. Police shooting vagrants is bad (if they're white) Police running DUI checkpoints is bad. Police shooting dogs is never ok Civil forfeiture is bad. Nighttime warrants are bad when it involves drugs, but ok when it involves child porn. |

I don't think LEO's should take it personal. I think the rise in "disfaction" has more to do with government in general.
Let's not forget government is only force of law. That's all it is, coercion and the application of violence to enforce laws, and taxes. People are just distrusting their government. Unfortunately law enforcers officers are on the frontline. So they're catching the most flak from this trend. People are focusing on the LEOs when they should be focusing on the legislators, regulators, and bureaucrats. What I find amazing is the huge segment of the population who are dissatisfied with law enforcement actually seems to want MORE government. They want their programs and entitlements, and want government to use coercion and violence to get money for those things, while at the same time asking government to use less coercion and violence. So remembering that government is just force, these idiots want more government and they want less government. You can't have it both ways. |

The Superman character is not without influence and popular notice. You say it's a parallel to current events. That's not what happened in Missouri, New York, or Maryland. A bunch of depraved assholes set fires, looted stores, and murdered cops all on the false excuse that the cops brutalized three people who did everything in their power to die by the cops. Eric Garner and Michael Brown might as well have pulled the triggers with their own fingers. Freddie Gray died because he threw a violent fit in the paddywagon. This ridiculous storyline is an obvious take on those deaths, as well as the riots in Ferguson and Baltimore. This is not how we portray reality. It's how the Soviets did it. See the Heroic Comrade Stalin who saves you from dieing of natural causes! This is an absurd adaptation of real events in order to serve a horrific purpose. Nothing in bits of story are even remotely related to Ferguson or anything else. This guy wrote a BS article to cause out rage and get clicks from simple folk and it worked. Maybe you should stick to Hulk comics. "Hulk angry! Hulk smash!" seems more your speed. |
