Now that Thanksgiving is over, we'll undoubtedly see a marathon of both of these movies for the next 30 days or so.

So what's your favorite of the two? I grew up watching both movie several times a year. But for me, "Cousin Eddie" has no peer.

They're both very good films.

Christmas Story.

Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse.

Some say I look a little like Ralphie. If I had know he was a cult favorite I would have picked Ralphie as my user name

Christmas Vacation is my choice but I have never watched Christmas Story.

Do you have cable? TBS usually has a full on 24 hour marathon of back to back showings on Christmas Eve/Day.

Christmas story is a family movie. NLCV is a more adult contemporary story.
Both are GREAT holiday movies.

Christmas Story. No contest.

I still have my Red Ryder BB gun somewhere in my parent's house.

Both movies have their own thing going for them. I think they're both great in their own way. I remember getting a bb gun one Christmas but it was a Crossman, not a Red Rider.

I liked the Christmas Story with Bill Murry as Scrooge

Are you serious, Clark?

Christmas Story is anti-gun.

I was thinking along the lines of what I seem to see on TV the most, but of course I have both on DVD. I think I see both on TV even more than "It's a Wonderful Life".

It's a tie, both are mandatory viewing.

Add in Elf and Bad Santa for the Epic Christmas Quadrilogy.

Nonsense.

It's a true story.

Every one of us delinquents has fucked ourselves up with a Red Ryder at least once in our lives.

They are both good, I'd prefer Vacation of the two though.

But, when it comes to curling up with a nice glass of eggnog and Christmas snacks to watch a festive movie, only one comes to mind that really brings in the season:

Voting Pumpkin Pie only because I can't choose between the two. Both are great movies and A Christmas Story has become our family tradition on Christmas Day.

Billy Bob Thornton, John Ritter and Bernie Mac, that's a recipe for a great movie no matter the plot.

" Every time Catherine revved up the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour or so." Eddie

Christmas Vacation all the way

The first Lethal Weapon takes place around Christmas time. Another great movie.

Oh yeah. Shot one into the inside of a section of angle iron at close range. Came back and hit me right in the side of the neck. Hurt like a mother on a cold winter day!

A Christmas Story is a classic, and I watch it every year, but I enjoy Christmas Vacation more
