And that sonic boom sound you just heard was all the Basement Dwelling, LEO Bashing, Trash-Talking, "OMG a LEO shot a dog" posting, twat-waffles last brain cell bursting because they divided by zero.

FYI, this video is a few years old, but I wanted to hear another sonic boom, so carry on....

They just can't control themselves. There is so little restraint they will even turn to killing their own dogs if none others are around.

Not the same once the base was closed.

Would a cop get in trouble for shooting a police dog? Would it be the same as shooting a fellow cop?

Something tells me if I went an kicked a K9 cop, the judge would give me some serious ass fuckery....

The Nazis made fledgling SS officers shoot their own dogs.

So does the K9 handler get charged with anything since he let his dog chew on a police officer?

It's happened before.

I know handlers that ask guys "please don't shoot my dog, give me a chance to get him off if he bites you"

I'll give you exactly 5 seconds. After that, I'll take care of it.

Local K9 officer had to choke out his dog a while back because something made the dog go apeshit. He was in a hotel room with the dog on a trip. Dogs sometimes go sideways. Just like people.

$10 says it a Malinois... This will become more and more common as Mals do.

This is one of the side-effects of that over-the-top drive that Mals have. Sure they can work, but they also have a fucking screw loose.

This. I have a friend who is hugely into the whole shutzhund thing. I've put on the bite sleeve a couple of times for her dogs. While her GSDs don't freak me out that much-other than the fact that they're huge-her Malinois is scary as fuck.

This.

Personally, if I go 2 or 3 days without killing someone's lapdog, I have to go by the pound, get a puppy, and shoot it.

I have to.

Why would they reassign the dog to a new officer. That's just asking for trouble.

I picture some moran trying to recover his enlistment papers he signed, after a moment of regret. Not sure how someone that stupid could have gotten in, but I am always surprised.

Pulling Mr. Winky out in close proximity to an attacking dog is contraindicated.

I came to post this. Friend of mine ended up shooting one of his departments K-9s. Spot got a little too enthusiastic and grabbed the wrong arm, and wouldn't let go. I believe at least 50 stitches were involved.

And I will second the statement about Malinois having a fucking screw loose, I would rather deal with 10 Pitbulls/Rotties/GSD than 1 pissed off Mal. Crazy fucking dogs.

Yep. 90-something rounds, if I recall. I think it also was a breed other than a GSD.

I've never owned a dog that would just randomly "go apeshit" and start attacking people.

and yes I've owned a GSD

Unpossible, GD says there are no bad dogs, only bad owners.

Why would the cop be charged with anything? He put a round into a "trained" attack dog that was chomping on another officer.
