An extremely liberal newspaper 8 miles from Woodstock in deep blue New York is having an internet poll: "Should President Bush meet with Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother of a soldier killed in Iraq?"

Tell them what you think at www.dailyfreeman.com

My vote = big fat NO

First, he already met with her once.

Secondly, she should be more concerned about meeting with a shrink right now, as she clearly has issues.
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 3:45:20 AM EDT
Negative.
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 3:46:30 AM EDT
he already met her once
doing it again will not lead to anything good
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 3:49:56 AM EDT
Ok. I voted about 20 times and got it up to:

Yes
49.7%
No
50.3%
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 3:55:11 AM EDT
Ah, so you can vote multiple times?

Bahahahahahaha. They are so owned.
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 4:18:31 AM EDT
no, and F-no

Her son JOINED the military. Its what the the military is and does- deal in death.

I cant imagine losing a kid, but mine WILL understand what they may be faced with if they join.
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 4:23:51 AM EDT
Funny they don't mention the word "again" since this will be a second meeting!

I say President Bush should meet with her again, so he could SLAP some sense into her!
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 4:32:59 AM EDT
They seem to often play word games to slant their stories, like leaving out a key word like "again". Yesterday's poll was "Are you satisfied with the government's handling of rising gasoline prices?" which by its wording implies that they COULD control the prices but choose not to do so. 92.8% said NO, of course, and now the seed is planted in their minds that this is somehow the government's fault.

She is not even in Crawford anymore, had to leave yesterday and go back to LA because her mom had a stroke. If she comes back, President Bush and Lance Armstrong should ride right by the camp (on their little publicized bike ride next week) and anybody that makes the slightest move gets drawn down on Seriously though I wonder how long the supporters will stick around now that she is gone and I would bet the cameras have packed up for the time being.

Cindy Sheehan, she wasn't there for her son and she wasn't there for her mother. Typical Liberal, off on a wacko cause at the expense of family.

He already has.

Wasn't there for her husband either.

not just no, but HELL NO.

She *already* had one meeting...which 99.9 of other parents don't get...wtf should she think she warrants another one, other than the fact she's a freaking attention whore pushing her own agenda?

Link Posted: 8/19/2005 12:49:16 PM EDT
Why do you think he shouldn't meet with her?

Forget for a moment that she's nuts.

Bush has a chance to reach out to her.

He should have met with her last week, and defused this silliness.
Link Posted: 8/19/2005 12:51:15 PM EDT
I say yes, let her say what she wants and then go back to where ever she came from and end this media buffet.

First, they've already met. She even changed stories from what she had orginally said (and yet the media fails to report that...).

Second, there would be no point. She will demand that he withdraw the troops, which is a pointless request.

We know Bush's position on it, as does Cindy.

She's a bitch, she's been a life long Democrat, that was probably enraged when her son joined up. And when he died, she decided to make it her life goal to bring down the "bad" people that got her son killed. Forgetting that her son enlisted on his own accord, knowing full well the risks involved.

Her husband has filed for divorce, parts of her family have disowned her.

She should do the honorable thing, drop this.

Why should he meet with her? I think that's a more appropriate question.

I can't think of a good reason to meet with her, would it accomplish anything (except maybe to encourage the leftist wacko movement).
If there is no reason to meet with her, not meeting with her becomes a moot point.
Link Posted: 8/22/2005 6:02:54 AM EDT
Why ?

Its simple.
If you have to ask then you likely already know the answer.

And sad as it is, in her case, she already knows it. Her son (RIP) conducted himself like an adult.
Very unlike the behavior she is exhibiting.

You are not doing it right...you need to find a video to download to decrease your available bandwidth. Then after clearing history and cookies, rapid fire on the poll....

I estimate about 500 votes on my part. Now do yours.

Yes.....so she can explain to Bush why she killed her son by letting him join the military (which has been known to engage in combat once in a while).
Link Posted: 8/23/2005 5:30:47 AM EDT
He already has, when her son was first killed in action. He had her come out to the ranch to express his feelings about what her son and all other soldiers had done for their country. She was very thankful and she said the President was doing what's right and we are fighting the good fight. It wasn't until Micheal Moore and his ilk got ahold of her did she start this shit, fuck her!
