I should probably try Firefox, but I'm just wondering if this happens to other people. It happens on all of my home PCs and laptops as well as my work boxes. Internet Explorer crashes when I hit Submit on a post or IM, not everytime, but often enough to piss me off.

If you were someone else, I would have suggested that you just stop posting. However, since you aren't and are really you instead, just get Firefox.

Yes it happens on occasion to me also ???

Never could figure it out.

I cant believe nobody has suggested that you get Firefox yet.

Been there, done that. Didn't like it.

Technically speaking, your probem is that IE sucks hairy goat balls.

Personally, I would recommend Mozilla . It's web, mail, news, the whole package. The user interface is a lot nicer than IE, IMHO. (I love middle clicking to open links in a new window, for example.)

Why is that? Did it mess up your machine?

I tried Firefox and didn't like it, uninstalled it, now forgot why. So I'll try it again tonight.

I like IE because I have it setup very streamlined and it is just a tiny frame around my screen, yet I have every button I need access too and my link bar setup very well. Firefox took up too much screen real estate and had a ton of stuff I just don't need, it was actually 'bloated' a funny claim for something that is taking on Microsoft. The big Firefox advantage, the "tabbed" windows don't benefit me due to my surfing style, I've been using "open in new window" for years and I like having every browser running as a seperate process. Bottom line was that the advantages just weren't anything I needed, but if it is required at ARFCOM because of some bug in the shitty unique forum software used here to have a stable experience, I guess I can load it up just for ARFCOM. Because I have no stability problems with IE anywhere but here.

I'll go get it again and take the time to try and mimick my IE setup, I was probably just impatient last time. Next time I post I'll be on Firefox.

Firefox crashes on ARF just as often as MSI does.

Mine has acted funny and crashed a few times today, none while hitting the submit button though.
