Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

I love shooting the AR10 in 7.62x51 .Ammo is a little on the spendy side but fortunately my Rifles run fine with surplus ammo.

Clearance for ease of use of the charging handle that sits directly below the carryhandle, also if you look to the rear of it, it has a dual optic with a 3x magnification reticle, with a red dot sight sitting on top of that. They do also sell shorter railed versions such as this:

And KAC also sells an open variant that consists of a front and rear BUIS as well as a small railed section for using other sights it looks like this

Might wanna start saving, the last time that I thought about doing a build of one it came out to a total of around 4500-5200

HK never really sold a correct G36 here, instead they gave us the SL8, and to get the G36 you have to cut and plastic weld the shit out of the SL8 to get it up to the G36s standards. Or you could do it the easy way and just get a stock block but then it pretty much renders the folding stock useless because it won't lock into place when folded and will block the ejection port, not to mention the extended LOP.

Certainly I can't be the only one with an AR-10 sporting an ACOG.  Who else has them?

Color me stupid, but the AR-10=.308 right???

What are the specs of the two shown in OP's pics??

Is there a significant loss of velocity with the shorter barrel and gas operation over a standard barrel lenghth bolt rifle?? If so how much of a difference is there??

I'm sure the price differs slightly manufacturer to manufacturer, but what does one cost; ball park figure. And which manufacturer has the best reputation  for quality??

Thanks in advance, Sam.......

Took it out this past weekend for my first hunting trip with it and was amazed.  I was worried about that as well, but it was really really really amazing.  :D  We were target shooting at about 300 yards and it was great, even in low light.  I just can't say enough good stuff about it.  My two friends who were with me were astounded by it as well.

Armalite makes the AR10 and it is 308. a cabine is roughly $1200 .There are other companies that make fine AR style 308's such as Noveske, LaRue, LMT,KAC and others i am sure i missed .

I would think the 16" carbine would be effective out to 400-600 yds maybe more. Buy one you will love it.
