Does the SIM card hold the phone number? In other words, if I have 200 hours on my cell phone, and I transfer the sim card to a new phone, do the phone number and sim card transfer over?
ETA

2nd question: Do all American cell phones use sim cards? Are any of them encased in the phone case, or are they exposed?

I have one nice cellphone from Verizon which has no expose sim card; I'd like to get it unlocked and use it with my Net10 account.

yes. generally speaking, you can put the sim card in any phone from your carrier, or an unlocked phone from any carrier, and your same number and whatnot will work.

Most phones give you the option of storing info on your phone of on your Sim card make sure you store to sim and your good to go.

Yes. Unless your garbled post means something other than what I think it means and if that is the case then then the answer could possibly be no.
