Anyone a member over there?? I registered on there last weekend, and it said to allow 3 days for a admin to approve my account. If I didn't hear anything in 3 days, use contact us link. Well, haven't heard a thing, sent a message via contact us link yesterday, still nothing. Does anyone run that damn place??

I was hoping to join up over there and discuss my CETME L build, as they have had a few folks over there build them, along with Mac from HMG, and APEX gun parts post on there as well.

The girl that owns the board over there takes forever to approve accounts. My account took about a month or so to get approved, others took longer.

It only took me like 4-5 days. I love that forum for AK but the marketplace and general format sucks compared to this forums organization.

Same here.

After that, I just kinda got turned off by the management and quit posting. Naolith especially.

There is a lot of good info there, though. Between Arfcom's AK board and the Files you should be able to find damn near everything you need to know.

EDIT - Missed the CETME part. That's gonna be a cool build.

IIRC it took about a week to get approved.

Three days without an answer? Good luck. My first attempt to join was never responded to and when I tried a second time it took more than two months for the moderator to activate my account.

most of the people over there are grade A assholes. there are exceptions, but not many. that board can eat a bag of dicks. easily one of the worst gun forums that is larger out there.

What are you using for the receiver?

A flat from Hill and Mac Gunworks in GA. Same stuff that Ian and Karl from InrangeTV used in their youtube build series. Very high quality receiver, everything looks perfect so far.

The same thing happened to me several years ago. I signed up, heard nothing. I tried the "contact admin" thing three or four times over the next three weeks and still never heard anything. I finally gave up and never went back.

But they had my email from my registration so I was on their email list and I kept getting their weekly newsletter even though I wasn't a member because I couldn't get them to verify my account.

I tried to log in with mine a few months later, and then again around a year later, just to see if my account was ever approved. It wasn't.

Been a member there since shortly after it went online. A wretched hive of scum and villainy. They've had problems with turds and management since the beginning. Mods and staff quit, etc.

There's only one person (last I knew of) that approves new accounts and she does it in batches. The marketplace, gunsmithing, and SVD sections are pretty good but seems the other subforums have kinda gone downhill in the last year or so.
