Battery Life is the main difference.

The Comp XL is the older model and battery life is not as good.

The ML and ML2 are the newer models which have around 10,000 hours of battery life, IIRC.
ML is the model with night vision settings. ML2 is the model without night vision settings.

There are some other minor differences, but batt. life is the main difference.

The XL is the older model. It has shorter battery life than the ML2 and comes with the older wire adjusment knobs/battery cap retainers. If you've found a killer deal, I would not hesitate to buy it.

I thought the M2 is the night vision version and the ML2 was not?

ML is the standard model. ML2 is the model with night vision settings.

The M2 has NV settings, ML2 does not.

Well instead of being anal, we decided to help a brother out with an easy question. The optics forum probably gets a minute amount of traffic.

I never worry about it on this forum. When a thread has run its coarse on this forum, they seem to fall back real quick.

Maybe $200-$250 tops. Any higher than that and I would look into getting a used ML2 off the EE exchange.
