Looks like illinois is going to have some interesting times ahead.

BY DAVE MCKINNEY SUN-TIMES SPRINGFIELD BUREAU
SPRINGFIELD--Rep. Rod Blagojevich won a coveted labor endorsement Tuesday over his three rivals in the Democratic race for governor.

In a move that his campaign valued at as much as $500,000, the one million strong Illinois AFL-CIO backed the North Side congressman in its earliest gubernatorial endorsement in memory.

The state's largest labor union cited Blagojevich's 88 percent lifetime voting record on union issues in the Illinois House and Congress as a main reason in choosing him over opponents Michael Bakalis, Roland Burris and Paul Vallas.

"He has been there for us," Margaret Blackshere, the group's president, said of Blagojevich. "Sometimes when we didn't ask, he's leading the way. It was clear to us that was where we wanted to be."

Isn't he the POS that is pushing for a pocket rocket ban, a .50 caliber ban, registration, and all the BS anti-gun stuff?

Looks like Illinois is on a fast track to become the next California.

By the way, If Rod wants to implement his gun control schemes, he will have some fierce battles ahead.  Ever heard of James "Pate" Pillips?  He is one solid guy, who is not afraid to stand up for what he believes.

I can give you no good reason for unions to exist.
unions have outlived their usefulness by:
looking for a handout over self-reliance,
selling out the membership to line their pockets with gov't favor and member dues,
supporting politicians leading the socialist 'give up your rights to me and i will protect you' movement,
the list goes on and on.

if unions were useful, business would not be relocating in other countries resulting in more lost member jobs, less taxes paid by business and workers, lower quality goods.
like the politicians, they only look out for themselves, not what is best for the members the business or the country.
just my opinion.
