I bought a new LCD monitor from Newegg.com about two weeks ago. It was a good deal made even better by the presence of a $150 mail-in rebate.

Unfortunately I threw the box away without getting a copy of the UPC code. DAMN!!!!

Just noticed today when I sat down to fill out the paperwork.

Since I don't need an original (a copy or facsimile will do) can anyone out there photograph, scan, copy or fax me the UPC from an 19" LG 1981Q box?

I realize this is really going out on a limb but any help would be appreciated.

The UPC code INCLUDES the serial number of the display in question.
The serial is needed to verify you actually bought the thing.
It is done to prevent fraud.
You are SOL.

did the same thing on a purchace of two riged tools from home depot
went round and round and still lost .

Maybe this is a dumbass question but what is the serial number in the UPC verified against?

None of the other pieces of documentation include the monitor serial number, no warranty card or other unique identifying information has been sent in.

Just curious.

Rule #1 with rebates - fill it out the same day you buy the widget.

Hey cut me some slack, we had just brought our first baby home from the hospital that week so trust me there was a LOT of shit going on!

Dang he's already costing me money.
