When they weren't using captive hardware I could see people getting pissy about it. Now with the captive stuff, it would make sense to use something. I don't know why more knife makers don't use something like Vibratite. It's very secure and allows for very easy disassembly multiple times. |

In an era of stress and anxiety, when the present seems unstable and the future unlikely, the natural response is to withdraw from reality, taking recourse in fantasies of the future or in modified visions of a half-imagined past.

Apparently in one (maybe more) of the Gulf states license plates can signal political/social standing. The lower the number the higher your station. If you get hit by someone with a low number it's your fault no matter what. |

Plus, though I've eaten some weird meats, today I have zero interest in eating squirrel or possum and I don't have a 1963 edition of the Joy of Cooking. Reminds me that I was volunteering at a Goodwill and found a Joy of Sex book in a donation bin. Didn't know such a thing even existed and have never seen that book since. In a brief flip through the pages it was apparent that every male was drawn as some version of Marlin Brando or maybe that was just the hunky soup du jour from that era. |
