I want to get a 9mm carbine. I just can't decide on what to get. So I am making a short list about pros and cons of each carbine.
Storm: pro- good cheap mags, feels good when shoulder, fairly decent rail system
con-import no added evil, will it hold up to servere use, have to shop for good price
KelTek: pro-price right, good mag choices, folds compact
con- don't know much about them, cocking handle in stock area
AR9: pro- good rail system, own ars',compact with col. stock
con- price on complete setup, mag issues, want something diff than another ar
What else can be added to this list pro&con? I got side tracked with my c&r lic so now I need to get my 9mm carbine.

You can just buy the upper, mag block and mags, and have 2 in one, or buy the dedicated version.  Now that the ban has sunseted look for a LEO marked one.

ETA: I have the dedicated AR6450 (LEO marked) and I'm thinking about making it aSBR which will look like the 9MM SMG that DEA used to carry.

The CX4 is the only 9mm rifle worth considering.

Are rugers pc9 any way shoot like their mini14 which I do have? I have a Marlin Camp 45 but I want a 9mm to shoot cheaper ammo. I am on this kick of trying to shoot more often and lots of round when I do shoot. Pratice, pratice

Why because you can get 15rnd mags almost double the price of what a 30rnd mag for an AR 9mm carbine costs? Not to mention the 30rnd Beretta mags are non-existant.

The PC9 now comes with 15 round mags.

But I've never shot one- $600 plus.

If this is really for training just spend the money you would on a 9mm, on a few cases of .223.

smokycity, I thought about going that route as a sbr and the ar9 would be the choice for that. This 9mm carbine will likely be my truck gun so it can be a hassle being a sbr not counting the sign off which is getting harder to get(got one sign off).I am leaning towards the storm.

I forgot to add that it must be able to handle +P ammo with no problem.

i was shoping around for a similer thing.

A local shop quoted me a good price but their distributer didnt have any.  I ended up getting a defense style shotgun for a little less money, and it is cheap to shoot too.  (and packs quite a punch)

Ohio Rapid Fire.

Although if the poster doesn't want an AR-15 in 9mm, and wants to keep the price down, Spade votes for the Vector Uzi.

Although Spade does not understand why AR15's in 9mm are so expensive, even if you build them yourself. Add up the upper parts on ADCO, and it comes out to more than a complete upper! WTF?
