In my sig, I noticed no difference in anything besides cost.
No difference in recoil, or poi. The 124 gr might have better penetration through walls or glass but for up close, paper killing, no difference. |

Here is an idea. How about you shoot some since you already bought it and tell us if there is a difference.

My G17 won't cycle UMC ammo. Which sucks. Because I bought a lot of it. |

At what distances? For shooting at typical defensive distances (21 feet or so) odds are you won't notice much of a difference.

UMC sucks in pistols . I use a lot of blazer 124 , it seems to do a little better than 115 on steel plates.

UMC does kinda suck.
I generally buy S&B. Online, I get it for around $11/box. Sometimes more, but it's actually full-pressure so it recoils almost identically to my carry ammo (Speer GDHP 124+P SB). Ballistically, they're the same externally. You won't see any POI shift unless you start shooting at 200-300 yards. Terminally, the 124 gives you slightly more penetration, but 9mm ball already is a great penetrator so it's of little added benefit. In hollow point flavor, it mostly depends on manufacturer and bullet design, but usually the 124 has the better performance but the 115 has less chance of overpenetration. |
