That is 5,000 flags, one for each of the First Responders to 9/11 and the rest are
solders who were lost in the War, each with a yellow ribbon, named and info given. Along with a piece
of an I-beam from the WTC.

All I can say is it is amazing walking in that field.

I am so PROUD that people are remembering instead of letting it slip
away like so many want to these days.

I have fullsize images if anyone wants them.

That is one of the coolest things I have seen remembering one of the saddest days of my life.

Bittersweet would be a good description.

I wish I lived in America. My town commemorated the day with an anti-Bush protest march.

Thats awesome, wish i could see it.

The only thing is that people keeping saying, “I wish everyone would remember", like we can be capable of forgetting something like that. It was the most tragic day in US history, or at lest my time. I still remember December 7, 1941, June 6, 1944 and other dates. I wasn't even borne then, my parents weren’t even borne then and yet I remember those dates. How could I forget something that happened 4 years ago....simple....I can't.....it simply won't happen....I will never forget.

That's awesome, topher!

Be sure to thank whoever sponsered this, be it a local organization or the city leaders. They need to know America still appreciates this sort of thing.

Thanks for sharing it with us too!

That yellow ribbon is for a good friend of my girlfriends. His wife goes to her church.
She told me that before he left they froze his sperm, they were about to destroy it when they
asked her if it was ok. She said that she wanted it. She now has a Baby Girl. From what my GF tells me he was the very first one to die over there. helo went down.
