Since when are toy guns considered "dangerous weapons".  The kid should not have done what he did, maybe, but charging a 7 year old with a felony over this situation is ludicrous.

What the hell is happening to this country?  I remember playing cowboys as a kid with cap guns that looked pretty close to a real revolver from a distance.  Never got arrested.  None of the neighborhood kids took a dump in their pants.  Life went on.

Well you've got the former head of the Ruby Ridge and Waco debacles running Dept of Transportations new Airport Security force that feels up old ladies while it lets young arab males board planes without checks..for fear of being labled racial profilers...Passengers get shot yet pilots most are either prior service or active duty...commisioned officers weapons trained..arent allowed handguns ....
If you played Cowboys & Indians as a kid..you had better have been one of the Indians...or you could be charged with a felony hate crime...with no statute of limitations [:)]..When I was a kid we used to take our rifles to school and put them in our lockers- so we could go hunting with our buddies after school.We werent allowed to take them out of their cases and fool with them during school hours.I remeber a kid got a new 30-30 and took it out to show someone and a teacher came along and told him to put it back in its case and put it back in his locker..he replied "yes sir"...and that was the end of it....never ever had a kid shoot another kid or take a rifle out to threaten anyone..later the same kid with the rifle got into a fist fight got his ass whupped ..yet never did even he dare to even think about taking his rifle and using it in even a threatening manner...and he had a couple of boxes of ammo in the case. (We considered him one of the more unstable types in our school yet even he would never violate the rules...about gun safety...) The inmates have taken over the asylum

And people actually thought "things" would be better with Bush in office.  Not...

"Steady On Course, Captain"...right down the tubes.
