I must shamefully admit that when I was in Jr High I dressed like Sonny Crockett because I was infatuated with Miami Vice. [:(]

Miami Vice rocked.  No shame here.  A few friends used to zip home after High School football games to watch it Friday night at 10pm.

I always wondered what kind of LEO could afford to drive those fancy sports cars and wear those fancy designer clothes.  They had to be taking coke from the evidence room. [;)]

The cars were cars that had been consficated from busted dealers and were used by the undercover cops.  They do that in real life.

The first two seasons of Miami Vice were awesome. I never missed an episode. It started slipping in season three and four, season five was an embarrassment for the most part. Still, I would love to see a DVD set released of at least the first three seasons.

Miami Vice was TOTALLY COOL.

Of course the best one was the one with Bruce Willis as the gun runner. Remember the M60 in the van? Loved that show.

Columbia Home Video offered the series on VHS.  Unfortunatly they replaced all of Jan Hammer's music with some crap, I guess to save some royalty money.  All I wanted was the episode with Russ Ballard's "Voices", but they changed the music, like nobody would notice!

Thankfully the episodes on TNN are in their original format, but no longer on during prime-time, just 1:00 a.m. or something like that.

The 80's loved it! Madonna was still a virgin. Breakdancing, c'mon you, know you at least tried to do it!
Anyone, "Walk like an Egyptian?"
I'm still way in love with Belinda Carlisle from the Go-Go's

When I think 80's, I remember the day driving home from college in '86 listening to Paul Harvey's news - he only said one sentence on the story...

I was in the 5th grade when the Challenger blew up. The teacher took the whole class to the classroom next door where they had a tv and we watched the replay of the whole thing.
