I had read at chuffler.com that the chamber pressure of 7.62 nato is about 50,000 pounds per square inch and that the .308win. is about 66,000 pounds per square inch. So what I would like to know is it safe to fire .308 out of a rifle that is chambered for 7.62 thanks for any help you may give!

BS in my opinion. I bet Kyrie Ellis is the source. i have seen that stuff before. There may have been something to the spanish CETME vs .308, but the other is crap.
