Where can I buy 6.8 caliber uppers?  The 6.8 round really interests me.  Anybody have any idea on pricing for the ammo?

I saw in ad in American Rifleman that Barrett(the 50 cal people) are selling uppers and complete rifles. Don't know about ammo. Check Barrett's web site.

Model 1 is going to be selling them too.  I imagine everyone will jump on the bandwagon in the not too distant future!

SAAMI spec isn't even finalized, IIRC...

Would be a bad idea to pick it up now...

Also, it's for-sure not going to be adopted by the service, so expect sky-high prices as with any other 'specialty' cartridge...

Ya I hope the military adopts it.

But what about  NATO?  Dont we have to use 5.56 because of them?

Right now, 6.8 is for the SpecOps crowd as it was designed to meet their requirements.  As far as Nato, they follow our lead for the most part!
