Santa Barbara is not "just north" of LA.
You have to go through Ventura County first.

When you are in San Diego, everything is north of Los Angeles.

ETA: Looks like an ND by USGS.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was someone compromising our systems and testing alerts, responses, etc.

LOL You know we would have felt a 6.8 here in San Diego. I've been telling my wife for a while it feels like earthquake weather, it's just a matter of time.

The 400 miles between those two contains some of the best parts. Glad to hear it's fake news.

I have lived in San Diego since 1987 and I can count on one hand the number of earthquakes that I have felt.

Seems like we are long overdue for a large shake.
