There is a mail in rebate for 5 quarts of free G-oil 5-W30 motor oil here.

I haven't used the stuff, but the web site claims it is as good as synthetic.

And it's made from beef.

Has anyone tried it?

That's fairly amusing, a company with the name of "Green Earth Technologies" making oil from cattle.

...uh....IDK that I want to risk my engine with that stuff....something about using oil from cattle just doesn't seem right. As tempting as free is, IDK that it's worth risking an engine on it...

you have about 10% of actually getting any $ back from the mail in rebate. I always get screwed on those after following the instructions to the letter (original receipts, etc)

I am thinking it is probably kosher (heh) since it has an ASTM cert. I am going to try a run and see what happens.
