I took the MMPI-2 and health screening  three weeks ago and was told that the PD would contact me when they get the results.  So, fast forward three weeks to Wednesday September 8th….  I get the call from the PD saying I passed and could I go the police academy on Monday.  Of course I said yes, I’ve only been waiting 16 months to get hired.

Good job, now go get a haircut.

Good Luck to you!  Stay outta trouble on the weekends (if they let you go home).  FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!  Dont be that guy who is constantly under the watch of the instructors (for bad shit anyways)

On Monday, I'll have 7 weeks left in mine (25 weeks long).

Don't be afraid to push yourself when it comes to the physical stuff.

Now is the time to make the mistakes, so you don't make them out on the streets. To put that in perspective, I made a very 'fatal' error during a Redman scenario and was 'killed'. To make things worse, I never saw it coming. Needless to say, I learned from that.

But remember, you need to have fun. We lost a cadet early on because she took things way too seriously, and caused her grades to slip.

Stay out of trouble, keep your grades up, study a lot, make sure you know what you're doing so you don't look like THAT guy and have fun!
