has any one got one of these yet? what does everyone think of them

http://www.rhinelandarms.com/
The first rifle we will introducing in the 5.7mm caliber is a upper receiver for the AR15. It uses the  50 round magazines and features a true free float barrel, picitinny rails and more. Brass is ejected out the bottom of the AR15 magwell. The recoil springs are contained in the upper receiver. Price estimated to be $550 from the dealer.

AR57 update, modifications and upgrades are complete and live fire testing to resume 1/22/06

I want a 7.62x25mm upper. That would get me off my ass to get an SBR permit.

Could the 5.7 mag be adapted to run 9mm?
A true PDW on an AR platform.

What about an AR that is based on the calico mags and dumps brass out of the magwell?

Quite a lot of changes involved, but probably not as many as that 5.7 upper.

Calico's patent won't run out until April 12, 2013, so you'd have to deal with licensing issues (unless they let it lapse during The Ban -- I hope not, since it was only granted five weeks before Clinton fucked them over).
